The traction table comprises a main frame with a support surface extending over a portion of its upper area. The support surface is movable longitudinally to define a variable opening by sliding its constitutant panels along the channel sections of the longerons of the frame. A traction device which is fitted to one side of the frame comprises a spring mounted roller supported on a vertical frame. A pair of spaced, U-shaped extensions extend between the roller and the table surface so that the animal's limb can be set at the required angle for traction to be applied.
