The shaped piece of material gives off emissions which affect a fluid or electric current passing through the piece so as to enhance the final application of the fluid or electric current. The device is beneficial for water plants, fluids passing to a chemical reaction, and electric currents to an automotive spark plug. The shaped piece may be of electrically insulating or conducting material. The form is a solid of revolution with a cylindrical section capped by a tapered cone with an apex angle of 33 degrees. An axial passage runs the length of the piece and the passing fluid or electric current flows down a pipe or conductor inserted in this passage. The effect of the emissions is enhanced by two radial passages connecting the axial passage to the outer radius of the piece.
