The device for attaching a trailing vine stem (10) onto a stretched wire (11) is in the form of a flexible plastics band with an attachment hook (2) at one end. This clips around the undulating wire and is anchored there while the body of the device passes over the stem. The other end of the band has a series of hooks (3) formed along it and each of these is made up of a shaft (6) which extends from the band and an arm (4) which points backwards towards the anchoring hook. One of the array of hooks engages the wire so that the vine is retained in the loop between the two fixed ends.
