The box is folded from a single blank (1) and has a bottom (2) and a top cover (3) connected via folds (5,7) to a side wall (6). Flaps (12-15; 16-19) are connected to the cover and bottom respectively via further folds (8-11; 20-23) and corresponding flaps (12,16; 13,17; 14,18; 15,19) are overlappingly connected by adhesive when the box is erected. The innermost flaps (16-19) of these overlapping pairs are each provided with at least one area (29) which is defined by a surrounding perforations (28) and has a more strongly adhesive connection to the corresponding outer flap (12-15) than the remainder of the flap. This remainder may have adhesive applied on top of coloured printing.
