The terminal is intended to be used by an operator to assist in selling goods. It includes a calculator and cash register, memory storage space and a keyboard. The keyboard includes numeric keys, function buttons, and keys associated with the goods sold most often. A display shows the operator the list of goods for sale in categories, and this display may be moved by means of further pushbuttons. The display provides the necessary codes indicating sales information alongside the list of goods. The information for this display may be stored on a printed roll, which is moved in the required direction, by control buttons. Reference marks on the roll control the extent of the movement. Alternatively a CRT may be used to display information. The display is divided into several sections which are separated and can be placed in front of a viewing window.
