The locking device is for the threaded adjusting ring (3) of a cone crusher relative to a thrust ring (1). The device includes a lock nut (4) and hydraulic rams (7) with spring operated rods and projections housed in a groove (9). One groove surface is formed by a conical throat (5) in the lock nut. The ram rods (6) are situated radially relative to the lock nut axis. The lock nut throat is turned inwards and the groove surface is screwed to press on the adjusting ring.
