The fixing stud has an anchoring leg in the form of a pin which is parallel to the lateral walls of the bar to which the stud is fixed. A pair of flanges are set normally to the pin with the lower flange being fitted around the lower end of the pin. An elastic collar is fitted over at least half the length of the pin and has a pair of symmetric elastic lugs which point outwardly at an angle to the axis of the element. The free tips of the lugs lie roughly parallel to the support surface through which the stud is inserted.
