Electric cable suspension clamp - uses pivoted hook to hold cable against clamp body and lever-actuated clamp strip to hold hook firmly against cable

The clamp uses a hook which clamps the cable against a cut-out in the main body of the support clamp. A toothed clamping strip is drawn tight by a lever with a cam at the end to lock the cable in place. The clamp is supported by a ring from a wall hook. A cross bolt fits through the ring and the clamp body. The clamp body has a cut out to accept the cable and a pivoted hook which is pushed over the cable. The underside of the hook is serrated to match the serrations of a flexible strip fitting into a cut-out in the cam at the end of a lever pivoted on a ridge on the main body. When the lever is closed against the clamp body the strip is drawn across the clamp to lock the pivoted hook hard against the cable.
