The wooden finishing assembly for metallic door frames comprises a leaf part (3) which is slid into position from one side of the metallic frame (5) and secured there. A decorative finish (4) is then slid into position from the opposite side over the leaf part. The leaf part is pref. secured using screws (8) which are subsequently covered by the overlapping decorative finish (4). The leaf part pref. carries clips (7) which hold a seal in a groove provided in the frame (5). The leaf part (3) and the frame pref. define a cavity (11) in which the hinge (12) is secured.
