The coupling is used at an intersection of the beams of a structural frame, providing for the bolted connection of the beams, and adapting to suit a wide range of alternative geometrical relationships. It comprises two stamped plates connected by a length of tube, the shape of the plates depending on the relationship. The beams may comprise roughly cut and drilled standard sections, fixed to the coupling by blind bolts and/or high strength bolts. The beam axis may be offset from that of the coupling to permit the housing of the beam ends between the plates.
