The paper clip has a blade (2) in a long frame (1), the two parts (1,2) being connected (45) on one of the short frame sides (21). A central longitudinal groove (46) extends along part of the blade, also passing through a connecting neck (45) and the adjacent frame side, and locating on the blade face presented to the paper. Indenting (44) of the blade edges may promote friction contact with the papers, the neck may offset the blade from the plane of the frame, and the blade may terminate in a barb (43). Projections (3) may help the blade to grip and the clip may be symmetrical about the groove.
