Colostomy catheter for pre:radiology baryta wash - sandwiches stomach wall between interior inflated bag and exterior flexible flange

The catheter is of the type which has a flexible twin passage tube. The insertable end of the tube has an open end to one passage and an inflatable bag at the end of the other passage. After insertion in the colostomy, the bag is inflated to hold the tube in place. A short distance back from the insertable end, the tube is set in a right angle bend. A large flat, annular flange of flexible material is fitted slidably on the tube between bend and bag. The flange sits firmly yet comfortably on the outside of the stomach wall which is sandwiched between the flange and the inflated bag. The flange can be fixed in place with adhesive tape.
