The animal drinking-water supply system is particularly in the form of an automatic drinking fountain for pigs, having a basin movable downwards under the effect of the weight of water flowing in through a valve, and upwards again as this water is removed. The valve is open in the upper position of the basin and shut in the lower one. The basin (10) has a water inlet nozzle (15), to which the valve (11) is connected via a flexible hose (16), the nozzle being at the lowermost point in the basin. The rate of flow can be adjustable by the valve to suit a normal animal's rate of drinking.(DS).
