The solar house has a roof constructed in the form of a parabola. The axis of the parabola is tilted at 20 degrees to the horizontal in the North to South direction. The surface of the parabola is rendered with a reflective coating and is orientated to make full use of winter sunshine using vertical flat solar panels mounted on a beam containing the fluid circuitry. A rain channel is incorporated in the roof.
