A plumb line (1) is mounted inside a profiled metallic pillar (2) with the cord attached in the top. An opening (4) at the base permits observation of the plumb line. At the base a drilled angle piece (5) allows the pillar to be fastened to the wall. Two articulated legs (6) have tensioners (7) to permit adjustment of their length to maintain the pillar in the vertical position. These are also fixed to the wall by angle pieces (5). Strings (8) in the horizontal plane are fixed to both sides of the pillar by metallic elements (9) which slide vertically along the pillar. The pillar and leg assemblies are equally usable on an internal corner of a wall.
