The pulse transformer providing a high voltage output includes a magnetic core consisting of two U-shaped pieces of ferrite with their side arms aligned and fastened together by polymer glue. The primary and secondary windings are wound separately on their respective supports which fit together coaxially. The supports are moulded in thermoplastic resin, and have radial fins which allow the windings to be subdivided into separate sections. A conductive metal tongue has one part which is introduced into the space between the inner support and the ferrite core. Its outer part is connected to earth. A further part of the tongue carries a number of terminal pegs to which the wires from the various windings may be soldered. The transformer may be used to provide high voltage line scanning pulses in a receiver.
