The invention is in connection with an apparatus providing a method of airing and making beds in a mechanically coordinated systematic and simple manner, thereby also facilitating the related process of so-called bed changing, so as to improve and replace to a considerable extent the present method as known so far being a purely manual activity generally. This would be achieved by an apparatus following the invention arranged as follows:- One side each of the various articles of bed clothing C such as sheets, blankets, under-blankets, electrically heated blankets, covers, bed spreads, etc., being attached either by seams or clamps onto the cloths holder device D being part of the apparatus, which would lift the assembly to a position in which the bed cloths would be hanging freely so as to allow refreshing air ventilation between them, whereas lowering the assembly later, would slide drag, and gradually spread the bed cloths again horizontally, moreover a roll E positioned between upper and lower sheets would fold back the upper sheet together with any blankets, whereas the entire assembly of bed cloths would sideways be also folded in between lower and upper mattresses by a suitable device. Obvious extensions or modified versions of the apparatus would refer to power drive, motor driven coupled combination of two or more bed units for either simultaneous or sequence operation, timer and fully automatic control.
