A control system is for a dosing and mixing installation where material such as aggregate is fed in desired qualities from silos 7 into a weighing containers 8 and cement is fed in desired quantities from silos 16 into a weighing container 11 and the contents of the containers 8 and 11 are fed to a mixer 13 and supplied with water through a valve 14. The mix is then discharged into a mobile transporter 15. The control system comprises a load feeding means, a load data store and a process control means. It controls the installation so that a subsequent load can be called and initiated whilst the processes with a current load are being carried out and the discharge of the first component charge of a load can be initiated separately.
