PURPOSE:To conduct electrodeposition of uranium having few defects such as pin holes and to reduce the electrodeposition time, by installing a means for adding ultrasonic vibration to an uranium-contg. electrodeposition liq. contained in an electrodeposition vessel. CONSTITUTION:When an electrode 11 on which uranium is electrodeposited and an electrode 15 for electodeposition are connected by a DC power source 21, and electric power is supplied across these electrodes, the uranium contained in the electrodeposition liq. 12 is deposited on the surface of the electrode 11. During the electrodeposition, hydrogen gas is formed on the electrode 11 and oxygen gas on the electrode 15 to form bubbles. When ultrasonic vibration is fed through a medium liq. 19, a thermostat 18, an inner liq. 17 to the electrode 11, the electrodeposition liq. 12 and the electrode 15 by the operation of an ultrasonic vibration 20, bubbles formed on the the surface of the electrodes 11, 15 are removed before they grow larger. Hence, an excellent uranium layer which is uniform all over the surface is formed without residual defects such as pin holes, thereby keeping sufficient strength of the deposition.
