IMPROVEMENT OF RADIATION RESISTANT CHARACTERISTIC FOR BF3 PROPORTIONAL COUNTER

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve the radiation resistant characteristic by irradiating a BF3 proportional counter tube with a specified amount of thermal neutrons while a high voltage is applied thereon. CONSTITUTION:1010-1011nvt of thermal neutrons irradiate a BF3 proprotional counter tube with a DC high voltage applied thereon and those better in the resultant characteristic are selected. Thus, the radiation resistant characteristic of the BF3 proportional counter can be improved.
