HEATING AND COOLING SYSTEM PROVIDING FORCED CONVECTION AS WELL AS NATURAL CONVECTION IN COMBINATION

PURPOSE:To accomplish comfortable air conditioning through switching of natural convecion and forced convection, by dividing a heat exchanger disposed in a cabinet into a forced convection zone and a natural convection zone, and providing an electric fan and a filter at the side of the cabinet where the forced convection zone is located. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of conduits 2 disposed in parallel with each other are connected at their ends by U-shaped connecting pipes 3 so that fluid is passed through the pipes 3 in alternate directions. Further, fins 4 are attached to the pipes, in the manner that the pitch of the fins 4 is large at one side of the pipes 4 to provide a natural convection zone A but the pitch is small at the other side to provide a forced convection zone B. A heat exchanger 1 constituted as above is disposed in a cabinet having a projected opening at the top, in the manner that its front side is inclined downward. In the cabinet 5, there is further disposed a filter 6 at a lower part of the forced convection zone B of the heat exchanger 1 at the front side thereof, and an electric fan 7 is disposed downwardly of the forced convection zone B. Further, an opening 8 is formed in the cabinet 5 at a lower part of the natural zone A for promoting natural convection of air.
