COMPOSITE RESIN COMPOSITION FOR DENTAL RESTORATION AND METHOD FOR CURING THE SAME

PURPOSE:To prepare the titled composition having excellent hardness, abrasion resistance and strength, by mixing ultra-fine powder of an inorganic filler directly to a binder resin consisting of a specific 2,2-bis(4-methacryloxypolyethoxy)phenylpropane. CONSTITUTION:The objective composite resin composition for dental restoration is composed of (A) a binder resin consisting of the compound of formulaIobtained by adding =50wt% aliphatic methacrylate to a liquid component wherein the average molar number of added ethylene oxide (m+n) satisfies the relationship of formula II and (B) an ultra-fine powder of an inorganic filler having a specific surface area of 20-100m2/g and coated with a silane coupling agent. The amount of the inorganic filler in the mixture is preferably 55-90wt%. The composition is divided into two, a tert-amine is added to a division in an anout of 0.1- 5wt%, an organic peroxide is added to the other division in an amount of 0.1-5wt%, and both division are mixed together to effect the curing of the resin.
