摘要

PURPOSE:To reduce an air pollutant emission and improve a fuel consumption rate, by employing a construction wherein a piston cylinder head has a notched part and a convexed part defined through and at a location thereof, the convexed part being inserted into the notched part, and a gas contained inside the notched part is compressed while being injected into a normally compressed gas through a narrowed part so as to achieve an easy ignition and combustion of fuels. CONSTITUTION:A convexed part 15 projected from a cylinder head base 14 into a cylinder 5 is inserted into a notched part 8 defined through a piston 6 when the piston moves upwardly close to a base surface 20 of the convexed part 15 during its compression stroke in a reciprocating cycle. A gas contained inside the notched part 8 is injected into a combustion chamber 18 through a clearance 19. This injection of gas causes a turbulence to develop with a result in an improved fuel ignition.
