CONTAINER STACKING MAINTENANCE METHOD IN MULTIPURPOSE CARGO SHIP

PURPOSE:To simplify a container holding part in structure, by installing a guide in a hold being formed wider than a hatch opening so as to cause the inner surface of the guide to be flush with the edges of the hatch opening and having at least one stage of containers stacked without coupling them with any of guides and hatch inside walls when containers are stowed in plural stages. CONSTITUTION:Inside a hold A being formed wider in its lower half part than a hatch opening, moving guides 8 are set up so as to cause their inner surfaces to be flush with the edges of the hatch opening when containers are stacked into plural stages while specified engaging metal fittings 2-6 are installed and thereby each container is supported. The container positioned in space between moving guides 8 is coupled with these guides 8 and the uppermost container is coupled with a wall part inside the hold by means of metal fittings 101; in the interval, at least one stage of containers are not coupled with anything else but merely attached to the upper and lower adjacent containers via metal fittings 3-5, through which the structure of a container holding part is simplified.
