WATER SEALING APPARATUS IN COKE CHARGING PORT OF COKE DRY QUENCHING TOWER

PURPOSE:To facilitate the opening and closing operations of a coke charging port and improve the sealing property between a coke charging port and charging hopper, by separating an opening and closing means provided between the coke charging port of a coke quenching tower and the charging hopper connected therewith from the charging hopper. CONSTITUTION:In a water sealing apparatus for a coke charging port 2 provided between an oven lid 8 and a charging hopper 3 for opening, closing and sealing the coke charging port 2 formed at the top of a quenching tower 1, a mobile through 13 movable upward and downward is lifted and lowered to insert a mobile hopper 7 in a gap between the coke charging port 2 and the oven lid 8 in opening the coke charging port 2. In closing the coke charging port 2, the oven lid 8 is positioned above the coke charging port 2, and the mobile trough 13 is further lifted to contain and engage a skirt part 14 provided in the oven lid 8 therewith for water sealing.
