PURPOSE:To make attachment and detachment easy, by a method wherein pressure proof is improved by setting two or more C type snap rings together in a circumferential groove formed on an inner wall of a pressure container, in a tube plate securing method of a cylindrical pressure container. CONSTITUTION:A C type snap ring for securing a tube plate 2 is installed in a circumferential groove 17 formed on an inner wall in the vicinity of an opening part of an external cylinder 1. Detaching is made easy by a method wherein bending rigidity is lowered by thinning an inner C type snap ring 13. Majority of a load based on pressure to be applied to the tube plate 2 is born by an outer C type snap ring 14, by thickening the outer C type snap ring 14. As a gap corresponding to at least a thickness of an inner C type snap ring 13 is secured between the outer C type snap ring 14 and the tube plate 2 and connection between a claw of an attaching and detaching tool and a hole 5 of the outer C type snap ring 14 is secured sufficiently, attachment and detachment become easy. As bending rigidity of the inner C type snap ring 13 is low, the attachment and detachment can be done comparatively easily without having the gap.
