SEMI-PERMEABLE MEMBRANE HAVING SELECTIVE PERMEABILITY MEMBRANE, PREPARATION THEREOF AND FILTER TYPE ARTIFICIAL KIDNEY

摘要

PURPOSE:To carry out the assembling of an artificial kidney membrane module without using a spacer, in a selective semipermeable membrane for a filter type artificial kidney, by providing plural linear protrusions arranged in parallel on the surface of an asymmetric membrane. CONSTITUTION:A semi-permeable membrane 1 having selective permeability is constituted from an asymmetric flat membrane consisting a surface active layer 21, a sponge layer 22 and a support 4 laminated to the under surface of said sponge layer 22 and plural parallel linear protruded parts integrally arranged on the surface active layer 21 of said flat membrane. This membrane can be prepared by a method wherein the asymmetric flat membrane made of a thermoplastic resin is immersed in a high b.p. polyhydric alcohol solution and, after drying, a high concn. org. solvent solution of a thermoplastic high molecular material is cast on the surface of the active layer in a linear form in a dry system.
