PURPOSE:A root canal filler and bone filler that contains chondroitin calcium sulfate as the major active ingredient, thus promoting calcification of teeth and bones by the in-vivo metabolism of collagen fibers which occur abundantly in root canals, ivory and bones of teeth. CONSTITUTION:The objective root canal filler and bone filler contain, as the major active ingredient, chondroitin calcium sulfate that is obtained by converting a mixture of chondroitin A sodium sulfate and chondroitin C sodium sulfate. Chondroitins A and C in chondroitin calcium sulfate bond to serine residue groups of collagen fibers which are contained in teeth and bones and the resultant sulfone groups in the chondroitin connect to calcium to cause initial calcification. USE:It can be applied to accelerate calcification, when a bone is broken.
