CARGO WORK METHOD OF BARGE LOADING TYPE ORE CARRIER

PURPOSE:To perform systematic, rational cargo work, by stacking empty barges by stages in order to load to a cargo hold, and by charging loads to the barges after the barges are returned to their original locations. CONSTITUTION:An empty barge 10A is stacked on a barge 10B by stages and a door body 11 is opened in order to load iron ore into a cargo hold 4 positioned between the ballast tanks 3 of a carrier 1. After loading the door body 11 is closed, the barge 10A is returned to its original location, the barge 10B is stacked on the barge 10A by stages and iron ore is similarly loaded into the cargo hold 4 under the barge 10B. After the barge 10B is returned to its original location, loads are charged to the barges 10A, 10B. Draft is lowered by launching the barges from the ship at locations where shallow draft limits are set, such as, a waterway, etc., and the ship sails on the waterway while towing the barges by the mother ship.
