PEELING APPARATUS OF ENDOCARP FROM CITRUS FRUIT HAVING FLOATING AND SEPARATING CONDUIT

PURPOSE:To miniaturize a peeling apparatus of endocarps from citrus fruits, by means of a turning peeling conduit with a slope and a floating separating conduit after separating sludges on the downstream side of the conduit. CONSTITUTION:Segments of mandarin oranges are introduced into a receiving part 12 of a peeling conduit 1, and peeled while flowing down in the peeling conduit 1 with a solution of HCl or NaOH, dropped from a discharge port 11 onto a perforated conveyor 2 and transferred to the next step by the conveyor 2. On the other hand, the solution after the peeling is then fed to a returning part 31 of a floating separating conduit 3 under the conduit discharge port 11, made to go over a partition plate 33 and passed through a header part 4. Sludges are floated by the jetting of pressurized water having fine air bubbles from the header part 4, separated by a separating plate 5 and then discharged from a drain 51. The resultant bottom clear solution is then made to go over a movable weir 6, refed to the receiving part 12 and circulated for reuse.
