FAULT DETECTING AND DIAGNOSING DEVICE USING NOISE ANALYSER

PURPOSE:To detect and diagnose a fualt in an objective system by fixing the waveform of an extracted fluctuation signal by an autoregressive model and processing the fixed waveform. CONSTITUTION:A fluctuation signal y(t) is extracted from a detection signal of a detector 3 incorporated in the objective system 1. Receiving the fluctuation signal y(t), a fault detection/diagnosis processor 6 identifies the autoregressive model of the fluctuation signal and calculates the estimation value of the fluctuation signal by using the identified model. Subsequently, the processor 6 calculates an error signal between the estimation value and the fluctuation signal to be supervised and supervises an autocorrelation function of the error signal to detect the fault generated in the objective system. In addition, the processor 6 calculates the tertiary moment regarding the detection of the fault as trigger and compares the calculated result with a diagnosis table to display the compared result in a diagnosed result display device 7. Thus the fault in the objective system can be detected and diagnosed.
