DEVICE USED BOTH FOR AUTOMATIC PREVENTION OF FREEZING AND AUTOMATIC SWITCHING OF FEED WATER IN SOLAR HEAT HOT WATER DEVICE

PURPOSE:To enable to utilize solar energy throughout the year to the best possible extent by a method wherein a multifunction valve capable of being switched in accordance with the variation of an atmospheric temperature is provided in case the solar heat hot water device is utilized in parallel with a boiler, an electric hot water device or the like. CONSTITUTION:The device is constituted with rotary valves 2, 2' in valve main bodies 1, 1' a driving device for reducing the speed of the revolution of a motor 16 and a reversing device. The main body 1 has necessary connecting port 3-9 on the outside thereof. The inner surfaces of the main bodies 1, 1' are finished into conical shapes and are accommodating the rotary valves 2, 2' of a metal or the like contacting to the inner surfaces closely and having the same tapers as those of the inner surfaces respectively while the valves have through hoes necessary for the outer connecting ports. At every times when the thermoswitch 31 is switched due to the variation of the atmospheric temperature, an electric current flows into reverse directions to effect the switching of the valve for water feeding, stopping of water feeding, water discharging, stopping hot water feeding and hot water discharging. According to this metod, the solar energy may be utilized throughout the year to the best possible extent.
