REPLACEMENT OF ENDLESS SCREEN IN ENDLESS SCREENNTYPE LAVERRMAKING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To replace the endless screen of the titled machine, easily, by cutting the old endless screen, bonding the rear end of the cut endless screen with a new open (not endless) screen, and transferring the old screen step by step while recovering the old one from the front end until the whole screen is replaced with the new one. CONSTITUTION:In a laver-making machine wherein a laver sheet is transferred through a laver-making zone, a dehydration zone, a drying zone, etc. by an endless screen circulating through said zones, the old endless screen is cut at the rear of a laver-release drum 8. The old screen is wound from the front end with a winding roll 9, and a new screen is bonded to the rear end of the old screen. The new screen 1' is supplied from a roll 10 to the laver-making machine while controlling the speed of the screen with a control roll 11. When the new screen is extended throughout the machine, the front end of the screen is bonded to the rear end to finish the replacement.
