YOKE OF DC DISK TYPE ELECTROMAGNETIC BRAKE

PURPOSE:To facilitate the working of components of a yoke as well as the assembling operation of the yoke by forcibly putting a bottom disk having an inner ring concentrically fixed to one side into an outer ring to form a magnetizing coil receiving recess between the inner and outer rings. CONSTITUTION:The heading electromagnetic brake has a yoke consisting of a bottom disk 10, an inner ring 11 and an outer ring 12, and attracts an armature 22 by energizing a magnetizing coil 4 wound between the inner and outer rings 11, 12 to release braking. Also, when the coil 4 is deenergized, the armature 23 is urged by a coil spring 8 to sandwich a friction plate 26 together with a braking plate 27 and brake a rotary shaft or the like inserted into a hub 25. Then, a yoke is friction welded to the bottom disk 10 having uniform thickness and the inner ring 11 arranged concentrically while the outer ring 12 formed with a fit portion 13 into which the bottom disk 10 is forcibly put is mounted on a press jig 17 so that said bottom disk 10 is forcibly put into the fit portion 13 of the outer ring 12 to integrate both disk 10 and ring 12.
