STRUCTURE OF DECORATIVE PAINTING ON SURFACE OF SYNTHETIC RESIN MOLDING AND FORMATION OF SAID DECORATIVE PAINTING

PURPOSE:To apply decorative painting on the surface of a synthetic resin molding in a short time by forming an undercoating layer contg. essences for producing pearl feeling or metallic feeling on said surface and laminating a transparent top coating layer by paint curable by UV. CONSTITUTION:The surface 1 of moldings of, resins, acrylonitrile-butadien acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene resins, acrylic resins or polycarbonate resins is cleaned. While the molding is rotated, quick drying paint contg. essences for producing pearl or metallic feeling is spray-coated to =5 micron thickness, whereby an undercoating layer 2 is formed. After a drying stage within 1 minute, a transparent top coating layer 3 by paint curable by UV is spray-painted on the layer 2. The top coating layer is evaporated away of the solvents therein and is thoroughly set by irradiation of UV. The decorative painting free from cissing, loss of weight, and creasing is easily obtained.
