PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution, by providing the first electromagnetic plunger operated with the mounting of cassette and the second electromagnetic plunger operated with the fast feed and rewind operation. CONSTITUTION:The stop condition, reproducing operation, and rewind operation are respectively shown in diagrams. The first and second plungers 21 and 22 are not operated with the stop condition. With the cassette mounted and in reproduction operation, the first plunger 21 is operated, the latch pin 30 of the buffer lever 16 at the end is latched to the concave 31 of the operation selection lever 17, and the pinch roller 5 is latched to the capstan shaft 7. Further, when the lever 17 is turned left, the selection is made from the reproducing state to the rewind state to operate the second plunger 22 with the closing of the switch. The pinch roller support lever 15 is pulled and turned to detouch the pinch roller 5 from the capastan shaft 7. At the same time with this, the reel shaft 8b of the rewinding side is driven with the motor to perform high speed rewinding.
