MACROMOLECULAR DENSE MEMBRANE FOR SEPARATION OF GAS

PURPOSE:To obtain the membrane which performs the separation of gas having high permeability with high selectivity, by synthesizing the macromolecular dense membrane for the separation of gas by the copolymerization of acrylonitrile and a vinyl monomer having a steric hindrance group. CONSTITUTION:The macromolecular dense membrane for the separation of gas is synthesized by the copolymerization of acrylonitrile and a monomer having a steric hindrance group defined by the formulaI(where R1=H or a methyl or ethyl group, and R2 = an alkoxycarbonyl, acyl group or the like). This dense membrane has high selectivity and enables to perform the separation of gas with high permiability.
