CURING METHOD OF PAINTED STEEL AND CURING COVER FOR STEEL

PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of curing work, in curing a paint-applied part during coating a steel material for building, by attaching or detaching a curing cover made of synthetic resin having a specified configuration to or from a part to be cured. CONSTITUTION:Paint such as a rust preventive is applied to a building steel material 15 such as H-shaped steel, and the uncoated end part 15A is covered and cured by using curing covers made of synthetic resin such as vinyl chloride having U-shaped cross section. Each of curing covers 1A-1E is inserted into each part A-E of the curing part 15A of the steel material 15 by its clamping power. The curing covers 1 are easily detached, after paint is sprayed to a part 15B to be coated. The curing cover 1 comprises a base plate part 11 and an auxiliary plate part 12 connected together with a U-shaped bent part 13, so as to clamp the steel material with a space 14 between the two plates 11, 12. In this case, the width W of the base plate part 11 is made larger than the width w of the auxiliary plate part 12 so that the front edge 11A of the base plate part 11 is extended beyond the front edge 12A of the auxiliary plate part 12.
