CONSTITUTION:Pig iron consisting of =3.40% T.C, 1.40-3.50% Si, 0.01-0.05% Ce, 0.10-0.30% Ti, =0.040% S, =0.100% P and the balance essentially Fe or further contg. one or more among 0.50-3.00% Cu, 0.50-2.00% Mn, 0.10-1.00% Sn and 0.05-0.80% Sb as starting material for manufacturing a CV cast iron casting is melted with an electric furnace at =2kW/kg power density within 30min, inoculated, and poured in a desired mold to obtain a CV cast iron casting having a vermicular or caterpillar graphite structure, high tensile strength, slight elongation, a superior heat radiating property, superior damping capacity, etc.
