The oil atomiser assembly is intended for a burner (burner head 2) in which the oil is atomised by an air flow. It comprises a heated (5) cylindrical housing (1) with an air inlet (7) duct (6) and a further air duct (8) which extends in opposite direction and leads to the outlet end (11) of an oil supply (16) duct (12). The ducts (6,8) and (12) extend through the housing (1) over sufficient lengths to ensure that air and oil are heated to the temp. required for ignition and to maintain combustion. The duct (6) may lead to a chamber (3) which contains an electric heating element (5) and connects to the duct (8).FL.
