A novel crystalling form of benoxaprofen, methods of preparation thereof and pharmaceutical formulations containing said novel form. A thermodynamically stable polymorph of benoxaprofen, an antiinflammatory agent of the structural formula: CHEM This stable polymorphic form, which can be prepared from the mastastable form by thermal treatment or crystallisation from a solution, is used in pharmaceutical formulations.
