A method for manufacture of a high melting plythene wax which comprises charging pulverized polythene into a vessel, heating said polythene to reduce the same to a melt, adding zeolite to the melt and raising the temperature of said reaction mixture to a temperature higher than the melting point of polythene wax and subjecting the mixture to continuous stirring, and finally removing zeolite from the molten mass by filtration to obtain ploythene wax.
