Clearing growth from ditch - by wheels with radial spring tines directly driven to rotate on horizontal axes and moved through ditch

The mechanism is intended for clearing plant growth etc. from ditches. It comprises at least one wheel (14,15; 16-18) which carries (19,20) pairs of radial (spring) tines (23,24) and is driven (directly, by hydraulic motor) to rotate about a horizontal axis whilst the mechanism is moved longitudinally through the ditch. The tines thereby move through the water to clear the material and eject it on the bank. The rotational axis of the wheel is pref. at an (adjustable) acute angle to the direction in which the mechanism is moved. The mechanism may comprise two such wheels rotating about parallel axes with one wheel (15) arranged ahead of the other (14).
