Pyrethroid 6-phenoxy-2-pyridylethyl ester derivs. (I) are new: in which R4 is H, Cl, Br, CN or opt. halo-substd. alkyl, R5 is H, halogen or opt. halo-substd. alkyl or alkoxy, R6 is isopropyl or cyclopropyl, and R7 is H, F, CF3, chlorofluoro-methyl or chlorodifluoromethyl; R1 is H, CN or opt. halo-substd. 1-4C alkyl, alkenyl or alkynyl; and R2 and R3 are H or halogen). The new cpds. are pesticides, esp. insecticides and acaricides. They are well tolerated by plants and their toxicity to warm-blooded animals is favourable. The cpds. are suitable for use in agriculture, forestry, stored prods. and materials protection, and in the hygiene sector.
