Wood modifying compsn. - comprising aq. soln. of phenolic alcohol, urea and penta:chloro-sodium phenol

Prepn. for modifying wood quality contains aq. soln. of phenolic alcohol (I), and urea (II) with addn. of pentachloro sodium phenol (III) as flame retardant. The respective constituents are added in the following proportions 30-35 wt.% (I), 18-20 wt.% (II), 2.8-4.0 wt.% (III) and balance water.
