The paper fraction of the refuse is deposited by means of a vibrating chute (5) on a conveyor (6). The belt of the conveyor (6) consists of a coconut fibre mat. A trumpet-shaped suction hood (7) is arranged above the conveyor (6). The impurities drop into the interspaces between the bristles of the coconut fibre mat. The paper remaining on the bristles is removed by suction. A pneumatic separator (17, 18) is arranged above the suction hood (7). This improves the deposition of paper and impurities. The pneumatic separator is adjoined by a cyclone separator (9) and a blower (10). In this way, the purity of the paper fraction is improved. IMAGE
