A continuous process for mixing pulverized Coal with an immiscible liquid in water to form a suspension or paste Pumpable. It consists of the following steps: 1 feed continuously Crude Coal Powder and a Water immiscible liquid in the mixing Zone, with forward Flow Sealing to form a First suspension.2 remove the suspension and pass into the mixing Zone where power is a Pumpable slurry. 3 continuously recirculating part of the suspension to the area of Pumpable mixture as a Third suspension to provide at least a part of the liquid immiscible in water.The Weight ratio of the Third suspension Feeding in raw Coal is at least approximately 3 to 1. The effluent used in the first stage, is a semi-solid slurry. The area of mixing power is operated at a temperature of 121 to 316 C.
