6595 INVENTORS: HANS GLAVITSCH and GERHARD G?THCANINVENTION: TRANSFORMER FOR THE CONTROLLABLE SHIFTING OF THEPHASE ANGLE OF OUTPUT VOLTAGES IN RELATION TOTHE PHASE ANGLES OF INPUT VOLTAGESABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREA transformer is disclosed which is suitable forconnecting with a compound network and renders possibleshifting the phase angle of the secondary side-outputvoltage in relation to the primary side-input voltage.The secondary windings are divided into winding stagesand there are provided lines and switches, by means ofwhich these winding stages can be selectively connectedin series. Since the phase angle of the voltage ineach winding stage coincides with the angle of the corres-ponding winding, it is possible to vectorially add inthis manner partial voltages with different phase angles,so that at the output terminal of one winding thereappears a composite voltage whose phase angle is alignedin the same direction as said one winding or, in relationto such direction, is shifted through a predeterminedangle value in clockwise direction or in counterclockwisedirection.
