P12-7838ABSTRACTA conductor support is provided for use with high voltageelectrical devices having mounting walls with apertures formedtherein through which electrical conductors pass. Theconductor support is formed of first and second memberssequentially inserted in the mounting wall aperture. Thefirst channel member includes walls bendable toward and awayfrom each other, corresponding to collapsed and expandedconfigurations of the first channel member, respectively.The first channel member is collapsed to take on a reducedcross sectional area, and is inserted through the aperture ofthe mounting wall. The first channel member includesretaining members, such as notches or grooves, for engagingthe mounting wall. After insertion, the first channel memberis expanded to bring the retaining members into engagementwith the mounting wall. The second channel member is thentelescopically inserted within the first channel member,forming an inter-ference fit therewith, while maintaining theengagement between the first channel member and the mountingwall. The channel members may be variously embodied, havinggenerally U-shaped, triangular, and circular cross-sectionalconfigurations.-17-
