ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREAn interferometer having a tunable opticalresonator using a monomode optical fibre as thelight propagation medium. According to a prefer-red embodiment the fibre (1) is wound around acylindrical mandrel (7) made from a piezoelectricceramic material. Multiple reflections are ensuredby reflecting deposits at the fibre ends. Rapidscanning of several orders of interference can beobtained by applying an alternating voltage Vto the ceramic material.-17-
